The Goa Government has notified the implementation of the “Anywhere Registration” system under the Indian Registration Act, simplifying property transactions across the State.
The reform allows citizens to register sale deeds, mortgage deeds and other property documents at any Sub‑Registrar’s office within the concerned district, regardless of where the property is located.
Sub‑Registrar offices have now been formally established for the districts of North Goa, South Goa and Kushavati following last week’s Cabinet approval.
Officials said the system will cut delays and ease procedures by enabling registration at any designated office within the district, instead of restricting it to the taluka where the property lies. The government described the notification as a step towards administrative efficiency and citizen‑friendly governance.
