The system called autoDCR which is proprietary technology, is an innovative building plan scrutiny and approval system. It reads CAD drawings and maps them to the development control regulations for approval by municipal corporations and approving authorities.
“We are seeking to bring this system in for the TCP Dept for single dwelling units in villages as a lot of the corruption lies in approving plans
for single dwelling units of local Goans,” Vijai Sardesai said.
The plan is to have applicants to upload their plans on to the system, have the system analyse the plans and if the approving authority does not act on the plans or give his final say, within eight days or a similar period the plans will be automatically deemed to have been approved.
The system of AutoDCR is being used by municipalities, development authorities and industrial corporations to reduce human element in approving plans that are otherwise expected to follow fixed norms, something which today can be done by machine learning.
The software reads CAD drawing and produces scrutiny reports in a few minutes, mapping all the development control rules of the Authority to the drawing entities, it automates an otherwise the lengthy and cumbersome manual process of checking the development regulations, thus reducing paperwork, valuable time and effort of architects and the Authority besides helps in attaining the e-Governance by maintaining digitized versions of the documents and standardizes the building drawing plan
process.
