Those arrested have been identified as Prasad Shivaji Yadhav (29), Raheem Mohammad Hanif (36), Nikesh alias Nanya Ravinath Kangralkar (25) and Ramesh Keshav Dharmuche (27), all
from Belagavi. The estimated cost of the recovered stolen bikes was estimated at Rs 9 lakh.
Disclosing details at a news conference, Police Commissioner T G Krishna Bhatt said that since the last one year, the arrested had stolen

“Ramesh Dharmuche who had stolen a few bikes from Panaji has confessed that due to an accident, he had abandoned one of the
bikes stolen by him near B M Kankanwadi Ayurveda College in Shahapur about six months ago.”
“The gang was arrested when Prasad Yadhav and Raheem Nayak were interrogated after they were riding a Yamaha bike without a number plate,” said Bhatt,
adding that the duo were arrested after a long chase on the city roads.
“We have also contacted Goa police and sought their assistance in further investigations, after which we expect to recover a few more bikes,” the police commissioner
added.
