The Pramod Sawant-led Cabinet on Friday decided to extend the curfew in Goa up to May 31.
Sawant announced the decision after the cabinet meeting he chaired at the Secretariat on Friday morning.
Now it has extended the curfew for another week up to May 31. "Norms will continue to be the same as they are," Sawant said.
Only shops selling essentials, including groceries and liquor stores are permitted to stay open between 7 am and 1 pm during the curfew.
Medical stores and restaurant kitchens, for home deliveries, are allowed to stay open from 7 am to 7 pm during the curfew period.
