Government High School Morpirla secured a 100 per cent result in the SSC examination for the seventh time. Out of 40 students who appeared, 9 students got distinction, 23 first-class and 8-second class.Miss Saloni Gaonkar topped in the school with 84.5% and her science project idea is selected for Inspire Award and scored 92 in apparel, Gaonkar Prajot 83.16%, Velip Rolisha 82.16%.
The students did very well in Hindi, Marathi and NSQF. Prajot Prakash scored 91 in Hindi and 92 in Travel and Tourism. Rolisha scored 90 in Hindi, 93 in Marathi and 91 in apparel. Saniya Velip scored 91 in Hindi and 92 in Marathi. Shreya Velip scored 95 in Marathi while Swayam Velip scored 96 and Sapnesh Velip scored 92 in Travel and Tourism.
The school is situated in the most remote village of Quepem taluka and caters to tribal students who are first-generation learners. The headmistress Morena Miranda attributed the success to her hardworking teachers and students.
