GPCC President Amit Patkar on Thursday evening expressed confidence that Congress would win both Lok Sabha seats in Goa.
Speaking to reporters after arriving from Bangalore along with other Congress MLAs, including Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, Patkar said the Congress delegation had gone to meet the Karnataka leaders after a thumping victory of the Congress in the recent polls.
“We had gone on a courtesy visit to meet the Karnataka leaders and we have arrived from Bangalore. DK Shiv Kumar is the party president and we went to meet him, the Karnataka CM and other ministers including Dinesh Gundu Rao to congratulate them after the mammoth victory of Congress in Karnataka,” said Patkar.
“Karnataka victory has given a new boost to the party and a new wave for 2024 has been set.”
