An official of the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has informed that the inspection report will be placed before the High Court when the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Navelim resident Prof Antonio Alvares comes up for hearing.
The inspection team comprised of officials of the GSPCB, Margao Municipal Council, Sewerage Infrastructure Development Corporation of Goa Ltd (SIDCGL), Margao Urban Health Centre and the Margao Municipal Council.
The GSPCB official informed the inspection has been carried since the hearing of the PIL filed by Alvares is expected to soon come up in the High Court. “We are compiling the report of the inspection and the same will be filed before the High Court,” the official added.
