GST collection increases by 67% compared to last June

The GST collection of the State has increased by 67 per cent in the month of June 2022 as compared to the collection in the corresponding June 2021.

The June 2021 revenue was hit due to the Covid pandemic. However, this year the situation is better. But, the rise in GST collection in June this year is less compared to the growth in May 2022.

In June 2021, the GST collection of the state was Rs 256 crore while the collection in June 2022 was Rs 429 crore.

The May 2021 collection was Rs 229 crore and May 2022 collection was Rs 461 crore which records a 101% growth.

If we compare the April month figures, there was a rise of 17 per cent in the GST collection. In April 2021, Rs 402 crore GST was collected and in April 2022, a total of Rs 470 crore revenue was collected.
