The students wing of the Congress party urged the Vice Chancellor and the Registrar of Goa University on Friday to re-open the exam registration fee portal for undergraduate students of MES College, many of whom deferred the payment which might disallow them to answer the upcoming exams.
A delegation led by NSUI State President Naushad Chowdhari demanded that Goa University should not take away students’ right to answer the exams, slated to begin on November 16, 2022.
“Many students were unable to pay the fees due to some difficulties. Since the extended day for the payment ended on October 5, 2022, over 60 students who haven’t paid the fees could lose the opportunity to answer the fifth-semester exams. GU should not take away their rights and re-open the fee payment portal,” Chowdhari told reporters.
The NSUI President further stated that GU assured them to look into this matter. The delegation also spoke to the Vice Principal of MES College who assured us to personally visit GU on Monday with a request to allow these students to answer their upcoming semester exams.
