The Guirdolim gram sabha on Sunday has resolved to ask the panchayat to conduct a survey of migrants staying in the village.
At the gram sabha chaired by acting sarpanch Joao Piexote, the gram sabha also discussed the issue of garbage disposal along the MSL road and to install additional CCTV cameras to keep unscrupulous elements at bay.
During discussions on the garbage situation, the gram sabha has resolved to impose fines on those disposing of garbage in open spaces and along the roadsides.
The gram sabha has decided to authorize people to impose fines against the violators.
The gram sabha has also resolved to enforce the ban on plastic bags below 70-micron size from being used in the village.
