Hanuman Jayanti marked with fervour in Sattari

Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion across various parts of Sattari taluka on Thursday. A large number of devotees thronged temples from early morning till late night to seek blessings.

Various religious programs such as bhajans, kirtans, and chanting were organised at different places. The festival was celebrated with devotion at Shri Maruti temples in Valpoi and Nagargao, as well as at the Shri Shankarnath Sampradaya temple in Keri-Sattari.

At the Shri Hanuman Temple in Valpoi, a huge crowd of devotees gathered from early morning. Health Minister Vishwajit Rane visited the temple and offered prayers. He also participated in the community aarti organised on the occasion.

Later speaking to the media, Rane said Sattari is known as a land of temples, with numerous shrines spread across its villages where devotional and cultural activities are held throughout the year. The Hanuman temple at Vaifale has also become a major centre of faith, attracting devotees every week.

Rane appealed to everyone to contribute towards maintaining the sanctity of temples and extended his greetings on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.

Meanwhile, Hanuman Jayanti was also celebrated with great fervor at Dharkhan-Sattari.

Rohit Shridhar Jog, who is associated with the temple, said that the temple has been a centre of faith for many years and the festival is celebrated on a large scale every year with active participation from devotees.
