On a day when Congress was struck with yet another deserting attempt, State BJP president Sadanand Tanavade on Saturday maintained that he was not aware of any Congress MLAs joining the BJP.
“I have not received any instructions from my party at the Centre. So I cannot comment on the political situation in the State,” Tanavade said.
When prodded a little further, he said, he wasn’t aware of any Congress MLAs were likely to join his party.
“It’s better you ask the Congress MLAs,” was the BJP chief’s curt response.
