HC issues notice on petition against Shah’s airport meet

the goan I networkrPANAJI rrAdv Rodrigues in his petition has also stated that probably for the first time ever a public meeting was organized by a political party on July 1, 2017 within the high security precincts of an airport when the Goa BJP held a public meeting addressed by its party National President Amit Shah at Goa’s Dabolim rAirport. Rodrigues who alleged that the meeting was illegal, has sought directions to ensure that the rule of law is upheld by holding an inquiry for fixing the responsibility and taking action in accordance with law against the organisers and those responsible for that illegal public meeting held within the precincts of Dabolim Airport in total violation of law. rSubmitting along with his petition photographs of Amit Shah’s public meeting at the Airport, Rodrigues has in his petition further stated that the BJP which organized that public meeting on one hand falsely claimed that all necessary permissions to hold the meet were obtained while at the same time also stated rthat the meeting was not rpre-planned but was spontaneous. rAdv Rodrigues in his petition has also submitted that the authorities ought to have registered an FIR against the organizers of that illegal public meeting besides Shah and all the other dignitaries.
