In a major development, the Bombay High Court at Goa has ordered sealing of 175 structures operating illegally in the coastal regulation zone (CRZ) and No Development Zone (NDZ) of Anjuna area.
The division bench has directed the Anjuna panchayat and Directorate of Panchayat to seal the establishment and stop all the operations with immediate effect with the help of police.
The Court has sought submission of compliance report within ten days.
The Court has been hearing the matter pertaining to illegal structures in Anjuna for last one year. The structures were even issued show cause notices.
