A fatal accident between a two-wheeler and a Goods tempo killed the rider Tulshidas Naik at Borim on Thursday morning.

Tulshidas Naik, resident of Margao was rushed to the Ponda Sub-District hospital, where he was declared dead.

State Government increases VAT rate on Petrol by 2%.

Petrol Price Hike to Rs 63.43 a litre

The State Government has increased the Value Added Tax rate on Petrol by 2%, thus increasing the fuel rate by Re 1.08/- per litre. As a result the pertol will now be priced at Rs 63.43 a litre. The existing rate of 15 percent has been increased to 17 percent following the revision of the rates.
