Mindful of the inconvenience faced by people, Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar on Monday said the health centre will be shifted back to the new Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) building.
“The Urban Health Centre was operating from a premises in Baina that was in a very dilapidated condition,” said Salkar.
“The health centre then began to operate on temporary basis on the second floor of the building that also houses the RTO department in Vasco.”
“The MMC building is centrally located and it can get people from all over for any immunisation purposes and resolve the inconvenience caused to people,” he added.
“Work is going on in the MMC building and the municipal council is temporarily operating from the basement of this building. But it will soon shift on the first floor from July end and the Health Department will again relocate to the basement of the building,” said Salkar.
