It’s now confirmed beyond doubt that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would descend at the ONGC, Betul for the India Energy week and later land at the Margao KTC bus stand for the Viksit Bharat rally on February 6 by helicopter.
Provision for helipad has been provided at both the ONGC Betul as well as the SAG grounds, Fatorda for smooth landing for the Prime Minister, indicating that the Prime Minister will not travel by road after landing at the airport either to ONGC, Betul or for the Viksit Bharat rally at Margao.
That, however, has not stopped Salcete Block Development officer, Nimisha Faldesai to send a circular to the Secretaries of the village panchayats along the National Highway66 is passing to ensure that all the roads and surrounding area along the route of the Prime Minister’s entourage from Nuvem to Betul and vice-versa is maintained free from stray dogs, stray cattle, garbage and road side bushes so as to avoid any untoward incident during the period.
The circular has been sent to the Panchayat Secretaries of Nuvem, Aquem Baixo, Navelim, Dramapur Sirlim, Chinchinim Deussa, Assolna, Velim, Ambelim, Paroda, Guirdolim, Macasana, Chandor Cavorim, Curtorim, Cavelossim, Carmona, Orlim, Varca, Benaulim, Colva, Seraulim and Betalbatim with instructions to personally visit and ensure the roads on February 5-6 are free from garbage, stray dogs and stray cattle.
