High-level panel reviews Selaulim project affected persons issues

A high level committee chaired by South Goa Collector, Egna Cleetus, IAS took a review on the status of the pending cases pertaining to the Project Affected Persons (PAPs) under the Selaulim Irrigation Project.

Chaired by the South Goa Collector, who is holding additional charge of Collector, Kushavati district, the meeting was attended by Sanguem MLA and Social Welfare Minister Subhash Faldesai, besides 

Deputy Collectors, Mamlatdars, Talathis, officials from the ISLR and WRD of Sanguem and Quepem Talukas.

During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on the status of pending cases, implementation and compliance with relevant Government Orders and the grievances raised by eligible PAPs. 

The committee also reviewed matters related to land allotment, occupancy rights and the progress of actions taken by the concerned departments to address the issues of the affected families. Necessary directions were issued to ensure the timely resolution of pending matters and to facilitate appropriate relief and support to the eligible PAPs.
