The Hindu organisations in their demonstration at Ponda demanded imposing presidents rule in Bengal and also demanded ban on believers' organisations spreading religious unrest in Goa.
According to the members present, disruption of law and order in Bengal by sheltering fanatics and overlooking the harassment meted out to Hindus have become a major problem and president's rule should be imposed there.
They demanded stringent action on Jihadi terrorists attacking pilgrims visiting Amarnath shrine and also to ban Chinese products to teach China a lesson for infiltrating in India.
Jayesh Thali, Mahesh Parkar, Amol Wankhade, Kishore Rao, Santosh Kapdi, Madhav Virdikar and Samir Gauns spoke on the occasion.
Hindu Janajgruti Samiti, Sanatan Sanstha, Ranaragini Cell, Gomantak Mandir and Dhaarmik Sanstha Mahasangh (GMDSM), Baratiya Sanskruti Raksha Samiti, Hindavi Swaraj, Shivsena, Marathi Rajbhasha Prasthapan Samiti and members of Shivpremi Sangatana participated in the programme.
Hindu bodies demand prez rule in Bengal
The Hindu organisations under the banner of National Hindu Movement on Sunday demanded dissolving the Bengal government for allowing disruption of law and order by sheltering fanatics.
