Eight directors file No Confidence Motion against Goa Dairy Chairman

"I WILL NOT VACATE CHAIR" says Navasu Sawant

Eight Board of Directors have filed a "No Confidence Motion" against Goa Dairy Chairman Madhav Sahakari following the suspension of the Managing Director Dr Navasu Sawant. However Dr Sawant claims to have received no suspension order; "I will not vacate chair" said Sawant.

Following the irregularities the Department of Cooperation has ordered an inquiry in unauthorised purchasing of various machinery by Goa Dairy and the CA has to submit the report, said Sanjiv Gadkar, Registrar.

GSPCB cancels Environmental Public Hearing

Cancelled due to incomplete EIA report submitted by MPT

The Goa State Pollution Control Board has announced the cancellation of Environmental Public Hearing scheduled on 25 April 2018 at Tilak Maidan, Vasco-da-Gama with respect to the "Proposed develpoment of Fishing jetty, Passenger jetty, Multipurpose general cargo berths and POL Terminals at Mormugao Port of M/s. Mormugao Port Trust" i view of the incomplete EIA report submitted by MPT and as per the decision taken by the Collector and District Magistrate of South Goa.
