The State government is planning to build a new administrative complex which will also be a tourist attraction with a viewing tower as much as 75-meters high from where people can have a panoramic view of Rua the Ourem creek and the capital city.
The Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) has invited Expression of Interest from Architectural firms specialised in Planning and Design of Government Administrative Complex for the design of proposed administrative complex at Patto, Panaji.
Around 10,500 square meters have already been levelled for the project by razing the old museum building.
The new complex is supposed to house around 20 departments and the building will have an iconic appearance with a viewing tower of around 75 meters.
“The building shall have an impressive iconic appearance with a viewing tower gallery and observatory at highest level/ top level without compromising on functionality and weather/climatic condition. Preferably the building should be in tune with some of prestigious towers in the world”, the EOI document states.
Architectural firms have around a month to submit their concept to the authorities and should do so by December 9. The five-member committee headed by Chief Minister will finalise the concepts submitted by the firms.
