"I assure the people of Goa that I will not split the CLP any more although many Congressmen still want to quit," the Fatorda legislator declared.
Interestingly, Sardessai's verbal eruption came in response to the congratulatory motion moved by Bicholim MLA Rajesh Patnekar to congratulate BJP's Vinay Tendulakr for getting elected to the Rajya Sabha.
Sardessai, who referred to Congress national secretary Dr A Chellakumar obliquely as ‘lungi', trained his guns at the Opposition benches and said,
"You have been splitting since the day our government took oath. There was cross voting for Presidential polls and for Rajya Sabha polls."
The visibly agitated Fatorda strongman also sought to assert the stability of the alliance government and declared that the ruling alliance will remain in power for the complete term of five years.
