Infrastructure promised to Shiroda schoolPANAJI: The annual social gathering and prize distribution function of Navdeep Vidyalaya was held at Tarvale, Shiroda, where Minister for Industries Mahadev Naik was the chief guest. Sandesh Prabhudessai, Shiroda Sarpanch was the guest of honour.The new stage of the school was also inaugurated on the day.
Highlighting the importance of education, Mahadev Naik said the infrastructure at Navdeep institute has improved since the last four years. He called on students to devote more time to studies and make efforts to come out with flying colours.
He said further that the road to the school was being given a hot-mix carpet and that a pipeline was being laid to meet water requirement of the students. He also assured to provide a toilet block to the school.
Sandesh Prabhudesai, Durgesh Naik, chairman, Shiroda Education Society, Shamsundar Zambaulikar, general secretary, Bhalchandra Shirodkar, manager, Chandresh Shirodkar, member, Satyawan Gaonkar, PTA president were present.
Prizes were distributed to the students. The function was followed by a cultural programme.
Meghashyam Naik, Headmaster, welcomed while Divya Bhandari compered the function.
