Inter-religious meet held
PANAJI: Dr Peter Ronald De Souza (Centre for Development Studies, New Delhi) said that we are living in difficult times and that one can notice a global rise of identity politics. He called on the people to resist it through a public debate.
He was giving the keynote address at a symposium organised by the Committee for the Apostolate for Inter-religious Dialogue and the Committee for the Apostolate of Inculturation Archdiocese of Goa and Daman.
Earlier, the convener, Fr Victor Ferrao of Rachol Seminary stated that identities are profoundly political and can become a locus that generates hostile as well as amicable ‘us and them’ relations in our society.
