MGP's Arolkar releases manifesto for Vasco
VASCO: MGP's Vasco candidate Manish Arolkar said he would encourage women to venture into self-employment and upgrade educational institutions, sports complexes with modern facilities, if elected in to the assembly.
He was speaking during the release of his constituency manifesto on Monday. Narayan (Nana) Tanavade released the manifesto in the presence of MGP workers and supporters at MGP office, Vasco.
Arolkar said the manifesto, drawn by constituents, has laid emphasis on women empowerment. “If elected, I will encourage women to venture into self-employment by taking up tailoring, making paper bags and other revenue generating jobs,” he said and added, "I will help them get subsidized loans.”
Arolkar added that he will construct an administrative building and bring all the government offices under one roof.
Inter-locking pavers, beautification of Mesta Wada road with joggers track, beautifying Sasmollem-Baina garden and Maimollem lake also feature in the manifesto.
