Around 97 slots were opened on Wednesday evening
on the Co-WIN portal for 18 to 44 years age group at a center in
Valpoi. The long-awaited slots for the Covishield vaccine were
scheduled on May 18 at KTC Bus Stand Hall in Valpoi, Sattari.
All slots were fully booked in less than an hour. However, the
details of this particular schedule vanished from the Co-WIN
portal some time between 8.20 pm and 9.45 pm.
It was later learnt that the vaccination center was moved
from Community Health Centre Valpoi to Kadamba bus stand
hall, which will be handed over to Sattari disaster management
cell. Setup will then be created for the 45+ age group as well as
for the 18-45 age groups subject to further availability of doses.
There is still no clarity about the opening of slots across the
state for this category. The government informed that 32,870
doses of Covishield were received for the 18 to 44 years age
category on May 12 at 3 pm.
