Assistant Conservator of Forests Anand Jadhav has been promoted as Deputy Conservator of Forests.
The promotion to a senior post has come after many years due to the small cadre of only three posts in the state forest service.
The long delay in promotions among senior forest officers has prompted many in the department to express the need for a state cadre of officers along the lines of the India Forest Service which has 8 posts.
