Janita Madkaikar, wife of former Minister Pandurang Madkaikar, is among 12 Board of Directors of Mashel Mahila Cooperative Credit Society booked by the Economic Offenses Cell (EOC) of Goa Police on charges of cheating the institution and making unauthorised payments.
While some accused were arrested and released on back, alleged accused Madkaikar, Harsha Kuttikar, Deepika Kenkre and two others have been granted anticipatory bail.
As per the complaint, all the BoDs of the Society in connivance with others “dishonestly disbursed loans to some investors and violated the limit in the by-laws without taking due diligence and due approval from Registering Authority”.
