Jumbo charter arrives with 512 passengers

The first Jumbo charter flight of the season arrived with 512 passengers in the State early Thursday morning.

According to Goa Airport, the Rossiya flight which arrived from Russia is the tenth charter flight of the season.

Earlier, an Air Astana flight arrived from Kazakhstan on Wednesday with 146 passengers.

In both arrivals, airport authorities complied with health screening protocols for the passengers.

Covid vaccination for children to begin at schools from Jan 3

PANAJIThe Directorate of Health Services is all set to commence vaccination of children between the age group of 15 to 18 years in Goa from January 3, 2022, onwards at their respective schools.State Immunization Officer Dr Rajendra Borkar informed that Goa has received around 74,200 doses of Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin to immunize children between the age of 15 and 18 years.These will be used to administer the first dose of the Covid vaccine at around 529 schools.
