Mapusa police arrested 3 persons from Thane-Maharashtra on charges of stealing purses and a bangle on a KTC bus along the Patradevi-Mapusa route on Thursday.
The complainant, Supriya Munde (68) of Kolgao-Sawantwadi said she was on the bus when she noticed that her bangle was missing and her purse had a cut.
Meanwhile, a man and a woman also made noise about their purses going missing.
The other travellers suspected three other passengers to be involved in the theft and told the driver to take the bus to the police station.
Mapusa Police then arrested three persons, Shivan Suryavanshi, Amol Tindoge and Datta Gayakwad, under Sections 379 and 427 IPC.
Police Hawaldar Abhijit Mangaonkar is further investigating the case.
