Kandolkar declared new working president of Goa Forward

Goa Forward Party supremo Vijai Sardessai on Tuesday declared that former Tivim MLA Kiran Kandolkar, who was formally inducted into the GFP on Monday, will now head the regional party as its working president.

At the induction ceremony held on Monday at Assnora in Tivim, Sardessai had said there was urgent need to liberate Goa from national politics.

"We have laid a foundation for a second liberation of Goa from national parties! Why Goa be #VocalForLocal only for shopping and not voting in 2022?" Sardessai had tweeted.

2 arrested for stealing high mast lamps at Dharbandora

PANAJIA Ponda Police team led by PI Mohan Gaude arrested two accused for stealing high mast lamps at Dharbandora.The accused are Sahil Jaswal, 19, r/o Usgao and Sonu Mahali, 23, r/o Panaji. The high mast lamps were stolen from Multi Faculty College, Dharbandora on the intervening night of October 25.
