He was speaking after inaugurating the 9th Hornada Kannadigas cultural activities festival organised by Dicholi Karmabhumi Kannada Sangh at Hirabai Zantye memorial hall Bicholim to mark Sangha’s 3rd year anniversary celebration in Bicholim.
Bicholim MLA Rajesh Patnekar, Mayem MLA Pravin Zantye, Karnataka Food and Civil Supplies Minister U T Khadar, Bicholim Municipal Council Chairperson Satish Gaonkar, BMC Deputy Chairperson Ajit Birje, Councilor Medha Bordekar, president of Zilla Parishad Vijaypur Neelamma Metti, Hungund MLA Vijayanand Kashapnavar, Karwar MLA Satish Sail, Dr Siddatotendra Shivcharya Mahaswami Nalwar, Gulbarga, Sht Bramha Shri Chandrashekhar Shivacharya Mahaswami Hiremath Hukeri, president of Goa Kannada Sangh Siddanna Meti, TP member Kopapal Veeresh Nagoji, Sammelan president K L Kundaragi, president of Karmabhoomi Kannada Sangha Hanumantappa Shirur and others were present.
In his speech, MLA Patnekar lauded the efforts of Kannada Karmbhumi Sangh for organising the function for the third time that creates a bond of love between Goans and people from Karnataka.
Mayem MLA Pravin Zantye said it is necessary to organize such festivals to create awareness among the people to see interstate culture.
Different cultural items like Tandav Nritya, Bharatnatyam were staged.
