The minister has declared that his department will take action by the next session of the Assembly.
Halarnkar informed the House that 10 bungalows have been constructed on 113 plots owned by Colvale Comunidade.
However, in his reply, Revenue Minister Khaunte stated, "No permission were issued in respect of Survey No 433/0 by the Administrator of Comunuidades, North Zone, Mapusa.As per the reply given by the Administrator of Comunidades North Zone, Mapusa, the expenditure incurred in the year 1997 on carrying out Survey of the plots, an amount of Rs 35,000."
It was also stated that the expenses for developing the plots were incurred by plot allottees.
"No specific complaints have been received yet. We will investigate the matter and if any illegalities are found, we will take action. By next session of the Assembly, action will be taken, even if politicians are involved," Revenue Minister Khaunte assured the House.
Margao MLA Digambar Kamat and Leader of Opposition Chandrakant "Babu" Kavalekar adopted an aggressive stance over the issue and sought to remind Khaunte that, while in opposition, he had hounded the government over such blatant violations of Code of Comunidade.
"This is probably bigger than Serula Communidade scam," Halarnkar told the House with LoO Kavalekar stating that the government's ignorance of such illegalities cannot be its defense.
"This is blatant violation of all acts, revenue laws, TCP Act, Comunidade Code. The administration is turning a blind eye," Margao MLA Kamat charged.
