BELAGAVI
KLS Gogte Institute of Technology (KLS GIT), Belagavi, hosted the Silver Jubilee alumni meet of the Class of 2000 on Saturday at the institute’s Silver Jubilee Auditorium.
The programme was organised by the Alumni Relations Cell. Alumni from Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Production Engineering took part.
The former students shared memories of their college days, thanked their teachers and spoke about how KLS GIT helped shape their studies and careers.
The event was attended by Rajendra Belgaumkar, chairman of the governing body, KLS GIT, and Dr M S Patil, principal, KLS GIT. Alumni coordinator Dr Anupama Awati and other dignitaries welcomed the gathering and addressed the alumni.
After the formal session, the alumni visited their departments, met faculty members and recalled their student life. The programme ended with a fellowship lunch, giving everyone time to interact informally.
The alumni praised the institute for its recent academic and infrastructure improvements, especially the new Centres of Excellence. They also thanked the management and staff for organising the silver jubilee alumni meet.
