Kansa aims to take over the MSW project in Goa and run it effectively and efficiently using modern techniques under expert guidance.
Aiming to solve the ongoing issue of solid waste Kansa offered to give concrete solutions to destroy the waste and generate energy from it.
It also offered to create a systematic model to collect segregated waste from houses, hotels and other establishments as per directions mentioned in the law without disturbing the existing system.
It will also transport the segregated waste to dumping ground and process it to convert it into energy. The company also assured to manage pharma and medical waste as per USA model, if allowed to establish a new project specifically designed to destroy non-biodegradable waste and making Goa the first State in India to do so.
It has assured of destroying the waste scientifically and generate energy and revenue out of it. Kansa will be installing animal carcass incinerators too. It will also try to minimize landfill of refused derived waste and also minimize environmental problems like air-water-soil pollution and make the surrounding environment healthy and clean.
Kansa has shown its willingness to provide a solution to the prolonged SWM problem in the state. It also offered to lower the financial burden of the government by raising funds for the project in its own way. This would help the government to move its reserve funds allotted to SWM to other important areas for public benefits. It would also create awareness among the citizens through various programmes.
Claiming to have a team of experts at hand, Kansa intends to initiate a public awareness campaign by using information, education and communication techniques. Advocating four R’s (waste refuse, reduction, reuse and recycle), Kansa aims to reduce the burden on the local body and motivate the citizens to store waste at source in a two-bin system, co-operate with the doorstep primary collection system and keep the city litter-free.
Kansa intends to introduce Plasma Thermal Gasification technology in Goa for destroying solid waste in the most advanced manner and to generate energy from it.
