According to a press note, it has been reported that the lady cadet was not donning life-saving gear when she fell overboard.
Promptly responding to the alert, Boeing P8I aircraft sorties were undertaken on Sunday and Monday for search and rescue, while the
Indian Navy ship INS Teg, which was enroute to Mumbai from Port Louis, Mauritius, was diverted. It was likely to arrive in the area on Monday evening.
The press note further stated that additionally, IN Ship Mysore (with two integral helicopters) sailed from Mumbai and is likely to arrive in the area on Tuesday for search and rescue operations. No success has been reported yet on sighting/recovery of the lady cadet.
The Mexican sail ship is scheduled to visit Mumbai from June 21 to 26.

and the next port of call is
Singapore.
