Traffic on the Verna-Loutolim highway was disrupted at the Missing Link following a landslide on early Tuesday morning.
Boulders, stones and mud from the landslide landed on the road, causing traffic disruption.
The Verna fire brigade rushed to the site after the debris from the landslide landed on the busy road. As the debris lay on the road, all the traffic was diverted via the second lane till the time the debris was cleared.
A fire tender besides police personnel were stationed at the site to regulate the flow of traffic
Locals, however, called upon the authorities to conduct a study on the reasons behind the landslide, whether it was due to the faulty cutting of the hillock or other reasons.
