Laptop, cash stolen from advocate's office at Ponda

PONDA: Burglars broke open the office of an advocate at Tisk-Ponda and decamped with a laptop and cash of Rs 20,000. Ponda police informed that the burglary occurred on Thursday afternoon. “Adv Swapnil Parab Gaonkar complained that the latch of his office door was broken and burglars decamped with a laptop and cash of Rs 20,000 kept in table drawer,” informed the duty officer.

Police sources informed that the burglars also attempted to break open another office belonging to an organisation, but it was left untouched.

The burglary took place when the offices were closed for lunch.

“Only the latch of that office was broken and nothing was stolen. The organisation has not complained,” the duty officer told The Goan.

Police has registered offence and is investigating the case.
