Laxmanrao tribute concert today
PANAJI: The 1st edition of 'Layabhaskar Khaprumam Parvatkar Taal Mahotsav' conceptualised and organized by Kala Academy, as a tribute to Goan figure late Laxmanrao alias Khaprumam Parvatkar will be held on February 20 and 21, in two sessions at Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Kala Academy Panaji.
Deputy Speaker and chairman of Kala Academy Vishnu Surya Wagh will inaugurate the festival on Saturday. Vice chairman, Sushant Khedekar, granddaugher of late Khaprumam and former head of the music department of Banaras Hindu University Dr Vanmala Parvatkar, member secretary Nilkant P Singnapurker, and others will be present.
The percussion instruments festival will feature performances by internationally acclaimed artists.
