Gomant Vidya Niketan’s annual five-day lecture series Vicharvedh will be held from January 9 to 13 at the Fomento Amphitheatre at 6 pm.
The five lectures in memory of late Datta Govind Pai Raiturkar, late Shrinivas Nayak, late Dattatray H Hemadi, late Damodar Krishna Verlekar and late Babuso Kamat are sponsored by Fomento group of companies.
The series will begin on January 9 with a lecture by Pratibha Ranade from Pune on the topic “Cultural aspects of different religions”.
January 10 will see Mayank Gandhi delivering a lecture on the topic “India lives in its villages “ nation building by transforming rural India”.
On January 11, Dr Pandit Vidhyasagar will deliver a lecture on the topic “Science and its popularisation”.
Renowned Marathi playwright from Mumbai, Shafaatkhan, will deliver a lecture on the topic “Theatre Experience and the Audience” on January 12. A Science graduate, he has taught in Mumbai University’s drama repertoire.
