For the second time in a span of one month, fear struck Solaye village in Sattari taluka when a leopard entered the house of a villager again.
A month ago, a leopard had entered the house of Gajanan Marathe creating fear in the village.
CCTV footage confirmed the leopard entering the house of Marathe on Sunday.
This has once again created an atmosphere of fear in Solaye village.
According to the information received from locals, about a month ago, it was revealed that a leopard had entered the house of Marathe in the same manner.
On Sunday, around 5 am, CCTV cameras revealed that the leopard had entered the house again. This has once again created an atmosphere of fear in Solaye village.
Villagers alleged that the forest department did not take the matter seriously when the leopard entered the house a month ago. The villagers had demanded to set up a cage to trap the leopard.
Villagers said that if the forest department had taken the matter seriously a month ago, the leopard would not have entered the house again.
Meanwhile, when contacted, Forest Range Officer Deepak Tandel said that a team had been deployed in the area a month ago when a leopard was reported to have entered Marathe's house.
Tandel, however, said a mechanism will be put in place to trap the leopard.
