Porvorim
A loaded container overturned at Alto-Porvorim on Thursday at around 8.30 pm and damaged an advertising rickshaw parked by the side of the road.
Porvorim Police mentioned that the loaded container bearing number MH-43-BX-4359 which was proceeding towards Mumbai from Old Goa slipped and overturned while taking a sharp turn at Alto-Porvorim and fell on an advertising rickshaw bearing number GA-03-K-1472. The rickshaw has been completely damaged.
The driver of the container Ashok Kumar Upadhaya from Uttar Pradesh sustained minor injuries. He was shifted to District Hospital Mapusa and discharged after medical treatment. The police said it was tough to control the traffic since it was raining.
Head constable Preetam Dabolkar is investigating the case.
