Locals rescue 4 from stranded car on flooded Nanora-Bicholim road

Four people were rescued after a car got stranded on a flooded road at Nanora-Bicholim on Sunday evening. The jeep was moving along the flooded road when it got stuck under a mango tree by the side of the road.

When the fire brigade and police were informed, they rushed to the spot. Meanwhile, Vishnu Vaze and other locals from Nanoda safely pulled out the driver and three passengers.

Due to the flood on the main road, motorists had to take a detour.

Bicholim Deputy Collector Rohan Kaskar, Mamlatdar Rahul Desai, and the fire team arrived at the scene promptly. The Talathi also inspected the flood and gathered information from villagers about the incident.

MLA Chandrakant Shetye, Deputy Collector Rohan Kaskar, and Mamlatdar Rahul Desai congratulated Vishnu Vaze and the other locals for their courage in rescuing the four people in the car.
