Locations for rallies designated
PANAJI: The North District Magistrate has ordered that the Campal Parade Ground and Azad Maidan shall be the two designated locations for organizing protest rallies, morchas, processions, hunger strikes, dharnas, agitations and other forms of protests in Panaji city. Any such activities taking place outside these specified locations, would be treated as illegal and any person or persons violating this order would be punished under Section 188 of the IPC.
The organizers are required to apply and get permission for organizing any of the activities mentioned above. No permissions shall be granted to use the above specified locations on days when State functions are scheduled.
This order shall remain in force for a period of 60 days.
