Undeterred by stiff opposition by villagers, and the recent Gram Sabha resolutions against any form of development works on the village plateaus, eight Loliem-Polem Comunidade plots allocated to M/s Mallikarjun Multi-Fruits Processing Producers Co Ltd (MMFPPCL) were demarcated at the Madditolop area on Monday.
The joint inspection was carried out by the Administrator of Comunidades (South Zone) Prajeet Chodankar, Loliem-Polem Comunidade President Vishwajit Varik, Comunidade Attorney Bhushan Prabhu Gaonkar, Comunidade Treasurer Madhav Shastri, Comunidade Escrivao (Clerk) Naresh Desai, Escrivao Uday Desai, and Director of MMFPPCL Rajendra Borkar, who were present during the inspection and demarcation.
“The inspected Comunidade land is situated at Madditolop under Survey Number 358/1 and the inspection report will be submitted to the Revenue Department for further processing,” said Varik.
The MMFPPCL, which was incorporated on August 23, 2021, has Speaker and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar, Ashok Arjun Velip, Rajendra Hari Borkar (PS to Speaker), Ramakant Tilu Gaonkar and Upasso Gaunkar as directors of the company.
