Urges all parties to cooperate and strive for a better India
Veteran politician M Venkaiyah Naidu took oath as the 13th Vice President of India on Friday, replacing Hamid Ansari. President Ram Nath Kovind administered the oath of office to Naidu at a ceremony held at the Durbar Hall of Rashtrapati Bhavan. The function was attended by politicians cutting across party lines. In his speech, Naidu stated that adversarial politics should not be allowed to have an adverse effect on Indian polity. He urged everyone to come together to strive for the betterment of India.
