Citizens of Maddel on Saturday called on Fatorda police station in-charge, PI Rahul Naik and submitted a memorandum highlighting the current issues plaguing the ward.
In the memorandum, the delegation demanded immediate action on the law & order concerns raised by the citizens.
They requested the Fatorda police station in-charge to conduct picket duty and 24x7 patrolling to be in the locality from Saturday onwards at the Rickshaw Stand/ Junction area. Citizens may contact PI Rahul directly for any issues.
On the illegal retail sale of liquor & public drinking, the delegation brought to the notice of the PI about the illegal retail sale of liquor and drinking in public and open spaces around the KTC area in Maddel.
The delegation also impressed upon the police to conduct a tenant verification drive in the locality conducted in the area.
To ensure police-public coordination, the delegation has nominated their representatives with their contact numbers, namely Francis Joanes and Jude D'Costa. The duo will be the direct contact points for any issues.
