Mahalaxmi Nagarik Samiti chitrarath wins first prize

The results of the various competitions held by Panaji Shigmotsav Committee are out and Bandora’s Mahalaxmi Nagrik Samiti’s chitrarath (float) has bagged the first prize of Rs 60,000. Suyog Shimgotsava Mandal of Adpai-Agapur won the first prize of Rs 35,000 for romatamel and Saraswati Kala Mandal, Kelbai’s loknrutya (folk dance) group won the first prize of Rs 20,000.

The second prize in Chitrarath went to Sai Bal Mandal, Durbhat (Rs 50,000), third to Bal Gopal Sanskrutik Kala Mandal, Chimbel (Rs 40,000) and five consolation prizes were given to Damodar Mahalaxmi Kala Sangh, Undir-Bandora, Dhadeshwar Sports Cultural Club, Nerul, Gajanan Kala Mandal, Kapileshwari, Brahmeshwar Yuvak Sangh, Akhada, United Boys, Kurti Ponda respectively.

The second prize in the Romatamel contest was bagged by Sawarde Shimgotsava Mandal (Rs 25,000) and third by Curchorem-Kokoda Shigmotsav Samiti (Rs 15,000). The fourth and fifth prizes went to Swarsai Shigmotsav Manda of Khorlim-Mapusa and Bardes Shimgotsava Samiti respectively. Dongri Shimgotsava, Paikdev Shigmotsav and Shantadurga Shigmotsav received consolation prizes.

In the Folk dance contest the second prize went to Savai-vere’s Sakhyahari (Rs 15,000) and third went to Shree Guru kala Mandal, Pisgal-Priol (Rs 10,000). The consolation prizes were given to Yashleela Cultural Association, Zariwada Priol, Fitness First, Vasco and Navdurga Sanskrutik Mandal, Madkai.

In fancy dress contest category I, Ramchandra Gawankar bagged the first prize followed by Anushka Morajkar, Yograj Gawankar and consolation prizes were given to Yoganand Palkar, Shivling Ramesh Naik, Siddhesh Marathe, Rama Khandeparkar, Anupchandra Madkaikar, Teja Naik, Dharma Naik, Anishkumar Poke, Sandip Mayekar, Manthan Gawas and Shiva Naik.

The fancy dress contest category II first prize was pocketed by Vir Naik, second by Arya Naik, third by Palak Pangam and consolation prizes were received by Shrawani Satardekar, Nishkruti Bhonsle, Anaisha Pangam, Reyansh Koli, Ridhant Gauresh Redkar, Saksh Shailesh Morajkar, Jivika Arlekar, Ritesh Koli, Pranjal Satardekar and Shivadyna Kirloskar.
