MARGAO
Travellers wanting a move to Maharashtra are back at the South Goa district hospital for a COVID test.
Since the SOP mandating travellers to Maharashtra to undergo a COVID test and obtain a negative certificate by paying a fee of Rs 2,000 for the test, around 10 travellers have undergone the test at the South district hospital on Wednesday.
As per the guidelines in place, any traveller to Maharashtra should first pay the COVID fees to the office of the District Collector, South and visit the district hospital for the COVID test with the receipt.
Sources in the district hospital informed that the traveller will be issued the COVID negative certificate within 48 hours. Sources also said that since the COVID tests are also being conducted at the private centre, the district hospital is planning on giving first preference to the patients to undergo COVID tests at the hospital.
