Malayalam actor found dead on shores of Anjuna

Body found after 3 days, police confirm drowning

In a shocking incident, Malayalam actor, Sidhu Pillai (25) was found dead on Anjuna beach, police informed.  
The body of the actor was found on January 12 and police has confirmed that the death was due to drowning.  
Police sources informed that the deceased had come to Goa to one of his relative’s place in Calangute on January 4. After four days, he left the relative’s home on January 9 informing them that he was proceeding to his native place in Tamil Nadu.  
Since Pillai did not reach home, his family members contacted the relatives in Calangute only to be told that he had already left from Goa.  
When Anjuna Police found the body at around 6 pm on January 12, it was in a decomposed state. One of the relatives visited the police station but couldn’t identify the body.  
The deceased’s mother arrived on January 14 and based on her son’s birth mark identified the body.  
Post mortem was conducted on Tuesday (January 16) and the body was later handed over to the family.  
Anjuna Police is investigating the case.  
Pillai, a Malayalam actor, shot in the limelight in his role in the film ‘Second Show’ and was the son of prominent Malayalam cinema producer, PKR Pillai.
